Registration is open for non-profit organizations and businesses interested in running a free game or activity during the festival.
Vendor & Craft Show
Registration is open for vendors. Spaces are 10×10 feet with placement on S. Schuyler Ave.
Trunk-or-Treat
The festival’s trunk-or-treat runs from 12pm to 3pm only. Trunk runners must register in advance.
We are not accepting ‘blind’ registration for food vendors. Please email if you are interested in being a food vendor.

Halloween Downtown is an annual festival that brings different aspects of the community together for a day of family fun. The event features local businesses and non-profits running free-to-play games and activities, each with a Halloween theme. There’s also music, entertainment, local food vendors, merchandise vendors, and in the afternoon, there is a trunk-or-treat.
Each year, this event sees an impressive turnout, with families from all over Kankakee County attending to play games and participate in the trunk-or-treat. The vendor area is just as busy, and everyone always enjoys the festivities.
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed from 7am to 5pm. Tasks include helping with setting up, keeping the festival area clean, assisting with miscellaneous tasks, the trunk-or-treat, and then helping with end-of-day tasks. The Rotary club can provide letters for volunteer hours.
Where: Downtown Kankakee
Downtown Kankakee Illinois. Games and activities will be located in the Farmer’s Market parking lot. Entertainment at the Gazebo. Vendors and special attractions on the 200 block of S. Schuyler. Trunk-or-Treat around the train depot fountain.
